An event set up for unfit people, by unfit people!! Back in 2005, the Great National Marathon was born. We put on the event for those that couldn't manage a full marathon by incorporating 27 miles in 27 places across the country.
| In 2005, we went from Gateshead International Stadium up in the North East and snaked down the country over 3 days to end in London running around Whitehall and Westminster, taking in great locations including the county cricket grounds in Durham and Worcester, numerous athletics stadiums, and scenic runs through dramatic countryside. | |
The marathon is back 25-28 July 2007 and we will hope to have lots of people involved, taking in miles in various new locations as well as some of the favourites from before. We are hoping that we can raise as much as possible for History Makers and take in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland! We are always looking for people who can run a mile as well as those that can do more than that. If you want more on the Great National Marathon, please get in touch with us.
Confirmed locations: Glasgow, Paisley, Kilmarnock, Belfast, Newry, Worcester, Oxford, Uxbridge and Paddington. Watch this space as more and more get booked.
