The Lent Project was set up in 2004 to raise money and awareness for the homeless charity, Shelter. The idea behind it was to work towards putting together a CD which would be released for Shelter and be available in charity shops and nationwide which would not only raise money, but bring across the personality of some of the country's badly-housed people.
As part of the Lent Project, a lot of events came about and we raised money using local resources and lots of businesses. Events such as the Tour of Britain quiz, The Football Fiesta and The Great National Marathon were all successes as well as the release of the CD available now from the shop at Slice – click on the link below. We hope to continue to help Shelter in the future through the Lent Project.
Currently running is a Tour of Britain to promote the CD. If you would like to see an evening of “music thru the decades”, log onto our shop for venues and ticket requirements.
